HOUSEGUEST: the Pacific Northwest's culinary originators collaborate with Vancouver Islands best restaurant venues for an exciting pop-up dinner on the third Sunday of each month.
SEPTEMBER EDITION: Seattle
The Left Coast and Northern Quarter welcomes Sous Chef Alex Fekete and Veteran Barman Jay Kuehner from Seattle's Damn the Weather to Victoria for a very special evening.
Don’t rain on their parade… it’s been a huge year for the team at Damn the Weather.
The Houseguest Dinner Series is thrilled to welcome both Jay Kuehner and Alex Fekete to Victoria for a collaborative dinner focused on their small plates and craft cocktails, at celebrated new local standout, Northern Quarter.
This exciting culinary venture was founded in 2014 by Bryn Lumsden, of the legendary Belltown staple, Rob Roy, and Chef Eli Dahlin of noteworthy Seattle eatery, The Walrus and the Carpenter. Teaming up with Sous Chef, Alex Fekete and cocktaling mainstay Jay Kuehner, DTW has more talent on their roster than the Emerald City has seen since the golden era of the Seattle Supersonics.
Offering creative plates paired with inspired cocktails that are thrilling diners and media alike, the team at DTW is putting Pioneer Square back on the map as one of the best places to eat and drink in North America. Just ask Bon Appetit's Andrew Knowlton. While selecting his annual Hot 10 list, he dined at hundreds of restaurants, traveled thousands of miles, and devoured something like a million calories—all in search of the country’s best new places to eat. After his trip to the Pacific Northwest, he called Damn The Weather, 'a meal you should be planning your next trip around' and named them as a finalist in his 2015 picks.
